Lake Hartwell Music Festival is the only event of its kind to take place on Lake Hartwell’s 962 miles of shoreline. This festival is always held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend after the “Cars and Guitars” festival in Hartwell, GA. Come and make a day of it in lovely Hartwell, Georgia!
With live music starting at 1pm, this event features local musicians performing covers and original music!

Live Music Festival On Lake Hartwell
This year’s artists will be singing the songs of popular rock and country bands including Jason Aldean, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and more. The festival takes place at the new Hartwell Lakeside Resort which was formerly called Hart State Park.
This will be the third year this event is held at the new resort area and is a move from the festival’s location in previous years at the end of Old 29. The location offers entry by land and water and plenty of tree shade. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and tent if desired (no coolers or glass please).

In addition to the music, there are food vendors, beer & wine, crafts for sale, and free activities for the kids. This year’s festival is sure to be a blast as we are all finally allowed to get back to a sense of normalcy.
Why Lake Hartwell Music Festival?
The first Lake Hartwell Music Festival was in 2012, and it’s been a tradition in Hartwell ever since. Lake Hartwell boasts 56,000 acres of water, and millions flock to fish and play on the lake every year.
A music festival seemed a natural addition to summer’s festivities, and a local non-profit group vowed to take on the music festival as a fundraiser for their programs.
Dubbed a ‘Party With A Purpose,’ the event raises funds for HYDRA which stands for Hart Youth Development Resource Association. HYDRA runs year-round programs to educate and support local children, and the festival is their main fundraising event.
What do I need to bring?

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and tent if desired. The event is entirely outdoors, and there is plenty of space to spread a blanket and enjoy the day.
The outdoor environment makes it easy to social distance, and additional measures are being taken to protect attendees from that nasty virus.
A custom stage will be placed beneath massive oak trees so that the musicians and guests will have a nice covering from the sun. Nearby, food concessions are available with plenty of picnic tables and a promenade of local artisans and free kids’ activities.
