You’ll want to start the day in town at the Cars & Guitars Festival and finish it off with live music performances at Lake Hartwell Music Festival.
Memorial Day Weekend Events In Hartwell
Lake Hartwell’s namesake town offers many things to do on the Georgia side of the lake, but they really go all out over Memorial Day Weekend hosting visitors with two annual events.
Cars & Guitars Festival
The annual Cars and Guitars event always draws a big crowd. Encircling the square downtown, you’ll find one of the best classic car shows in the area.
A festive atmosphere is accented with music – this year including some young local talent. Explore the kids’ activities and shop local artisan vendors.
The fun starts at 10 am and closes up at 2pm. Door prizes, raffles, and the crowning of the best in show are some of the exciting things you can expect at this annual event.
Lake Hartwell Music Festival
One of the most exciting events over Memorial Day Weekend at Lake Hartwell is the epic Lake Hartwell Music Festival – a benefit for local non profit serving kids, HYDRA.
Enjoy live music from local bands singing the songs of classic and contemporary rock and country bands. Don’t miss the food and retail vendors, family activities, and crafts all happening lakeside.
The first band goes on at 1:00 p.m and it all ends with the Headliner playing ’till 10 pm. If you’re coming by land, be sure to bring chairs or blankets for the lawn seating. No coolers are allowed. Already on the lake? Boaters are welcome to join the party from the water (tickets must be purchased to enjoy the on land festivities).
